Stanford University Procurement

Who is Procurement?

The Procurement Department is generally responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the University. Our Mission Statement reflects our philosophy of service to the University Community, and our commitment to doing business in an ethical, prudent manner.

Procurement is made up of three groups. The General Buying Group is located at 340 Bonair Siding Road, and is responsible for most orders for materials and equipment, as well as many types of services. The Contracts Group, located on the second floor of 655 Serra, is responsible for construction contracts, consulting agreements, and government sponsored subcontracts. Surplus Property Sales, responsible for the disposal of unused University assets, is located at 340 Bonair Siding.

Telephone numbers for the staff which make up these groups can be found on our Who's Who listing. A table of commodities handled by each buyer is available on our Who Buys What listing.
